About Rajasthan CET (Graduate Level)

The Common Eligibility Test (Graduate Level) is held by the Rajasthan Staff Selection Board under the Rajasthan Subordinate and Ministerial Services (Common Eligibility Test) Rules, 2022. Advertisement No. 09/2026 lists twelve posts for which the CET is the gateway: Platoon Commander (Home Guards), Patwari (Water Resources), Junior Accountant, Tehsil Revenue Accountant, Supervisor (Women Empowerment), Supervisor (Integrated Child Development), Deputy Jailor, Hostel Superintendent Grade II (Social Justice), Patwari (Revenue), Village Development Officer, Junior Accountant (Rajasthan State Agricultural Marketing Board) and Hostel Superintendent Grade II (Tribal Area Development). The CET is only an eligibility test: recruitment to each post is by a separate examination held later under that service's rules, and a CET score is not a promise of a job.

Candidates need a bachelor's degree or its equivalent (final-year students may apply but must hold the degree under the service rules) and must be 18 to 40 years old on 1 January 2027, with the relaxations set out in the advertisement. Online applications ran from 4 July to 2 August 2026 through the SSO portal, and the advertisement set the test for 1 to 3 December 2026 as an offline, OMR-based examination; RSSB's revised exam calendar of 28 September 2026 moved it to 16 to 18 January 2027 (tentative). Where it is held in more than one shift, marks are normalised.

The scheme in para 17 of the advertisement is one paper of 150 questions and 300 marks in 3 hours, covering history of India and Rajasthan, the art, culture, literature, traditions and heritage of Rajasthan, geography of India and Rajasthan, the Indian political system with special reference to Rajasthan, the economies of India and Rajasthan, science and technology, logical reasoning and mathematics, current events and civic duty, public health, computer knowledge, General Hindi and General English. All questions are multiple choice and carry equal marks (2 each), and one-third of a question's marks is deducted for a wrong answer.

The OMR sheet has five bubbles for each question: A to D for the answer and E for 'not attempted'. A candidate who leaves a question unattempted must darken E; a question with no bubble darkened loses one-third of its marks, up to 10% of the questions, and a candidate who leaves more than 10% of the questions with no bubble at all is disqualified. Ten minutes beyond the three hours are given for this. A candidate who scores less than 40% in the CET (SC and ST candidates get a relaxation of up to 5%) cannot sit the recruitment examinations that use it. The score is valid for three years from the result, under the Personnel Department notification of 16 January 2025, and there is no limit on attempts; the best valid score counts.
